Real estate crowdfunding is a modern form of collective investment in construction projects and urban development. It means pooling capital with other people in order to take part in real estate projects that would be difficult to reach individually.
Through a digital platform, many investors contribute funds that are directed to a specific project. Once the works are completed and the objectives are met, the profit is distributed proportionally among all participants.
This model allows people with small amounts of capital to invest in large projects such as apartment buildings, residential complexes or refurbishments of existing buildings — increasingly relevant in the context of urban development in Croatia.
